Psalm 104:2, 5

Who coverest thyself with light as with a garment: who stretchest out the heavens like a curtain: Who laid the foundations of the earth, that it should not be removed for ever.

Somehow, I do not believe a discussion of angels and the ministering spirits would ever be complete without a look at who on earth is behind all this activity. See, he is not just a suffering Savior or a God up in Heaven occasionally when things go wrong. Remember the immense control he has over even the circumstances and the wild things of both the angels and of man. Look at what sort of God this is. See how he wears Satan over his shoulders as a man does his cape or a piece of clothing to cover his majesty. You can speak of the wolves among the sheep all you please. But at the end of the day does he not shear them too. I can hear the Lord now saying, 'bring the sheep on into the fold so my people can be warmed and fed. Oh, and while you are at it make me a warm piece of clothing with the nearest wolves that you see.' Are not some of you saying even now, 'that is so not Scriptural.' Is it not though.

Once was Lucifer known as the angel of light. Yet here the dear Lord is seen wrapping the very light itself around him as though his garment. A very fitting testament it is then to the promise as old as time to bring good out of even great evil. With him there is no discussion as to the origins of this light, whether good or bad. For to him are the day and night all the same. See him over there now inspecting the edges of the Heavens. How some of you like talking about the flat earth and your journeys to the edge of space. For some of you, the sun do stand still just because God said so. But have I got a new one for you. How many have heard of the Lord drawing the Heavens together as his curtain so none might see his domain. That is why some of you should not be afraid when you get to the end of your life and see nothing. He has got his curtains stretched and shut tightly. Scientists can talk about global warming, solar flares destroying, and asteroids incoming all they please.

See him on his throne now. He has got the Heavens stretched out before him like a huge piece of cloth hanging. Nothing comes to him as a surprise. For does it not all sit before him who holds the earth in his hands. If he can do all this, he has got you too. Just like that, your problems should be handled. Indeed, lest you should think him too large by now, he is not done. Scripture tells the story of the Savior who once walked among men. They came once before him with the woman caught in adultery. There stood all her accusers lined up from the least to the few. They were all those that should have intervened and known better yet did nothing. He got up off his throne just for her and stooped down so low just to write there on the dust of the earth. See, all men return back to the ground from whence they came. They are eaten by good and evil all their days.

There is justice and vengeance in his work. But see it goes even deeper than that. His control is elementary. Some of you find the thing you can escape least is the grave. David once found the bars thereof kept his soul in forever. God came to let you know even that is his. He laid the very foundations thereof himself so long ago. Is it any wonder that the earth could keep him no longer. So indeed, it shall not be forever removed. The God who walks among your sorrow and mine walked right on up out of that grave. Some of you really ought to trust him a little more and give him praise today. Wherever you are trapped, wherever you are stuck at must bow in his presence. You might feel like a nobody or a nothing before him. You may even be worn out from the evil of this old world below. Yet still the God I serve is coming for your situation and for mine. So can he be trusted to handle it well.
