Who's Missing
Now that we've finally taken roll call, let's find out who we should really have in class.
Judah
Reuben
Gad
Asher
Manasseh
Naphtali
Levi
Simeon
Issachar
Zabulon
Benjamin
And one more person whom we can't quite make out just yet. To me it's clear we're missing someone, but the question is who. Actually, we have one person that is invisible and another who just isn't here. Can you tell what else that might have occurred since old father Jacob last took roll so many years before? For one, I don't see Dan anywhere on this list. I have a good theory too about why this is the case. Joseph's children have been completely left out for they went without mention. Still, they are mentioned in the blessings for the end of all things, so I find it hard to believe that these have completely disappeared. Then again, what I find stranger still is the fact that all these people have entered as though let in by someone else. I see someone else here has left out their sister and brought a friend to class. Alright, who would like to fess up or should I make inquiry.
And I heard the number of them which were sealed: and there were sealed an hundred and forty and four thousand of all the tribes of the children of Israel.
5 Of the tribe of Juda were sealed twelve thousand. Of the tribe of Reuben were sealed twelve thousand. Of the tribe of Gad were sealed twelve thousand.
6 Of the tribe of Aser were sealed twelve thousand. Of the tribe of Nephthalim were sealed twelve thousand. Of the tribe of Manasses were sealed twelve thousand.
7 Of the tribe of Simeon were sealed twelve thousand. Of the tribe of Levi were sealed twelve thousand. Of the tribe of Issachar were sealed twelve thousand.
8 Of the tribe of Zabulon were sealed twelve thousand. Of the tribe of Joseph were sealed twelve thousand. Of the tribe of Benjamin were sealed twelve thousand.
9 After this I beheld, and, lo, a great multitude, which no man could number, of all nations, and kindreds, and people, and tongues, stood before the throne, and before the Lamb, clothed with white robes, and palms in their hands;
10 And cried with a loud voice, saying, Salvation to our God which sitteth upon the throne, and unto the Lamb.
Revelation 7:4-10
That all looks like who we should have in class. Now let's see if I can figure out what all has taken place. Why don't you have a seat if you like. It seems this might take a while. As you well know, the deep and hidden things such as these don't come very quickly if at all.
