Where Can You Find Him?

Revelation 11:17-19

Saying, We give thee thanks, O LORD God Almighty, which art, and wast, and art to come; because thou hast taken to thee thy great power, and hast reigned.

For this I would like to praise God myself. Only he could take great power unto himself and do much of anything with that. This great power lying around though was not just by some chance or happy accident. Rather, it should be seen that such was his all along. He had the power to lay it down for a time to come to this world to save all mankind. So too he will take it back up again though it should suffer evil but for a while. It should come as no surprise to any that he reigns for such was his right all along. Then again, we see that along with his power there comes some results. It has made the nations angry for a short while it seems. This too should surprise none for there are but two responses to God's great power and reign.

And the nations were angry, and thy wrath is come, and the time of the dead, that they should be judged, and that thou shouldest give reward unto thy servants the prophets, and to the saints, and them that fear thy name, small and great; and shouldest destroy them which destroy the earth.

You can either accept it or reject it. Here the nations are angry for both of those reasons, though I know none of that makes sense. See, when God rules, any disorder in the house must go. Sickness must leave in his presence. All confusion must cease. Is it not wonderful that the same God who watches us is the same God who fights for us. So too he knows what we are made of, where we came from, and even where we are going. It is this knowledge then that provokes a response and also brings forth the judgement. So too are the waiting righteous ones, even the saints and the prophets, and those that fear his name in need of his mercies. Some have been waiting oh so long to see his promises to them fulfilled. Yet it is this great power and rule of his that allow him to promise such and also to perform all the good words he had said.

And the temple of God was opened in heaven, and there was seen in his temple the ark of his testament: and there were lightnings, and voices, and thunderings, and an earthquake, and great hail.

Then again, with his power also comes forth his authority. It is this then that allows him to judge the world in truth, in righteousness, and in judgment. His love is longsuffering, not willing that any should perish but that all should come to repentance. But when his time of mercy has come to an end my friends, there waits the justice of God. That is why those that destroy the earth will receive their just rewards. Long he has waited to take up his great rule over all the earth.

Then too will he sit until his judgment be carried away. Just so you know though that such is no lie or shadow or turning to be found therein, look now at the temple opened in Heaven. This is why there is no need of any earthly thing. For God it seems keeps his own house. It is by his power and authority that he does so for he loses none that are his. So, it is seen that all who come to him he keeps by his great power and authority, for his own name's sake. How much more should some of us trust him, my friends.
