And it came to pass, when men began to multiply on the face of the earth, and daughters were born unto them,

2 That the sons of God saw the daughters of men that they were fair; and they took them wives of all which they chose.

3 And the Lord said, My spirit shall not always strive with man, for that he also is flesh: yet his days shall be an hundred and twenty years.

4 There were giants in the earth in those days; and also after that, when the sons of God came in unto the daughters of men, and they bare children to them, the same became mighty men which were of old, men of renown.

Genesis 6:1-4

These were legends, gods of old, fallen angels in their own right. What happens when there is no law in sight or enforcement of it? So, if law had been given, the enforcement of it and the keeping of society would be considered order. Yet here at this place and time there is none. Now every man does what's right in his own sight and thus makes himself a slave even if to his own desire. Perhaps though we will see something else begin to happen as the case was here. For without law man becomes a danger to himself by rule of the desire. Then too are they not at the mercy of a world to which no order exists. Heaven only knows all sorts of things could happen. With the guardians help though, these supernatural beings, they could help keep watch though if only for a little while.

So too some of them did becoming men of mighty renown, warriors old without the crown. Yet then again some did not, just as man found, their desire screamed. They had already left their first estate, that of the designated Heavenly place. So, then they were already at mercy to its' whim also giving place to love and room in their hearts to the daughters of men. You had to admit it, what's there not to love about the creation. You can give me plenty reasons, but each has value in their own way. Let's see these guardians then as they came unbidden in a time of need. Tell me then, which would you rather do, keep order or keep law. Some of these chose law which really wasn't much and they themselves were already a slave to such. Therefore, these became those guardians bad who punished men and became the lords of such. You know how some cultures have myths and legends of these beings. If you have chance to read them carefully, you will note each one had power of a certain thing.

One such person is told about in lore. His name was Poseidon, by legend and more likely corruption, and his power was that over the sea. His palace was found there under the water who yielded the waves to him obey. Actually, history tells of one such place. There are several that no longer exist today. Their countries were Tyre and Sidon specifically which ruled by trade upon the water. Luke 10:14 foretells the coming of their fall. In fact, Ezekiel 26:4 notates exactly what would happen. The top of them would be scraped flat like the top of a rock. Indeed, history tells of the throwing of their dust into the sea at the hands of conquering generals of forgotten lore. Thus were these fallen for crimes so long ago. You can still check if you like, even today. It's gone. There's nothing there, but for some that hold its' memory. Fast forward then a few hundred centuries later. Man began to build great ships from wood to go from place to place. These were borne at the mercy of the wind and waves upon the sea.

We hear tales spread by sailors who lived in dread of the sea. Apparently great gales arose sinking all their ships. Then too if some could be believed, monsters were found within the depths beneath. As time passed though and the world went on, these sightings gave rise to an uneasy calm. Ships still reported of a force that chased them, out to play. Some retreated, bruised and battered, but most would live another day. In certain cultures, this force became known simply by description as the old man of the sea. You may wonder what become of them, those angels fallen. For their actions some were slain, tamed, chained, or simply dragged back down unto another place. Revelation 9:14 tells of four angels in particular held hostage under the ancient river Euphrates until such a time and space.

Now you question what of the righteous few. Perhaps Noah and his family may have been among the few, if even guardians at all. Which fact seems highly unlikely considering the story. Otherwise, they might not have needed God to guide and shelter them. But then too they might have been righteous, considering the story. Regardless, history tells how conditions got so bad that few else on earth survived. These other guardians then had possession of the second and third estates. They figured that if order was kept upon the earth, the law would follow next. So rule these did among the affairs of men. Some were giants bold told of in tales of old. Others became warriors grim which held order firmly from within. Yet all of them faced the final force, that of the desire which ate them from within.
