Standing There Lately
Then again Abraham took a wife, and her name was Keturah.
2 And she bare him Zimran, and Jokshan, and Medan, and Midian, and Ishbak, and Shuah.
3 And Jokshan begat Sheba, and Dedan. And the sons of Dedan were Asshurim, and Letushim, and Leummim.
4 And the sons of Midian; Ephah, and Epher, and Hanoch, and Abidah, and Eldaah. All these were the children of Keturah.
5 And Abraham gave all that he had unto Isaac.
6 But unto the sons of the concubines, which Abraham had, Abraham gave gifts, and sent them away from Isaac his son, while he yet lived, eastward, unto the east country.
7 And these are the days of the years of Abraham's life which he lived, an hundred threescore and fifteen years.
8 Then Abraham gave up the ghost, and died in a good old age, an old man, and full of years; and was gathered to his people.
9 And his sons Isaac and Ishmael buried him in the cave of Machpelah, in the field of Ephron the son of Zohar the Hittite, which is before Mamre;
10 The field which Abraham purchased of the sons of Heth: there was Abraham buried, and Sarah his wife.
Genesis 25:1-10
My goodness, you have got an awful lot of children from this mess that we were in. Abraham in his grief has married again. Surely no one would have said how much this woman resembled Sarah in making up for things that she lacked, such as an open womb and fertility again. Though in her death, whatever would have happened then. The proper response of course would have been for her to be gathered to her people again. Though what if she was in rebellion to him? You know, the God which created her who ruled out the times. There are those of this world who would get as stuck as supposed. In that case, instead of becoming someone else they take on a whole different identity sort of as an Edomite nation. Only in this case, Keturah, while her name much remembers a kettle of which often is blackened and is set over a fire, has come back home to the house she was from. That is if such a case could be made there at all. Let us see if the text supports such a guess. There are the childrens names first of all and where they were from of which all of them claimed the same mother as instead they were children of hers.

You have got, a place there of rest, a son of the dead, something about the light from which they were from, the middle in both sides of the picture, a measure, abiding, elder, and sure. While over here on the other you have got old daddy Abraham with his concubines just making some others. These were sent off in the opposite direction of Isaac lest these all should stir up the pot and break up the home. Then you would notice that nothing is said of Keturah going forward that after the death of Abraham he was laid in the same place that the old lady was from and there is not a word said more on the score.
