Strands of the Deep
11/02/2024
And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep.
And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters.
3 And God said, Let there be light: and there was light.
4 And God saw the light, that it was good: and God divided the light from the darkness.
Genesis 1:1-4
Alright, it almost sounds wrong to say this. So I will only repeat it once and then no more from here on after: John Zebulon. There, I’ve said it. Then allow me to say just one thing more. In the beginning, was the Word. It only gets better from here on out, you’ll see. The question remains though of why we’re even in the office in the first place. Surely everyone’s alright and the class is just fine or is it? I assume that’s why you’re here. I heard there’s been somewhat of a question about what happens when the powers all come together. What happens then? Allow me just a minute, and we’ll soon find out. In the beginning I’m sure there was a still earth, right, with everything at calm and at rest just like it is now? Perhaps, maybe not. Let’s see what happens when we turn on the lights to find out. Oh my, that’s really no better. There was darkness everywhere all over everything so you couldn’t see your hand in front of your face. If you jumped out into the darkness though, you’d know. Below you would be nothing but the holllow sea, that covered it all. Nor was there any way to plumb the depth of it, although I’m sure you certianly could if you tried. In the beginning, was the deep. Now let’s see something about this thing first. It’s a Zebulon space, right, this looking out over the beginning of time. It’s almost like a portal from where the Lord stands looking down at the dark yawning void stretched out below. Well, you relaly can’t tell much about it cause there’s darkness over it all. The first thing you know is you can’t see anything. The second thing you really should know is it’s almost impossible under these conditions for nearly anything to be. What’s why God had to straighten it out and with him came the power of the unknown, a going beyond if you will. Let’s see what happens when light appears. Have you ever seen a lake on a nice sunny day? There’s sun shining on the water and everything’s perfect. It’s beautiful, see. Then at night when it’s pitch black, the water starts looking black too almost like it’s absorbing the night. Have you ever wondered what the view looks like from under the water? Just try and see It with me. There’s water everywhere underneath. Still, it makes quite the pretty sight to see, with the outline and shape of the land. There’s sunlight filtering down through the water till you reach a certain depth, if you go deep enough that is. It’s not much, but at least it’s some light that filters through the water letting you see. What does the water do then, but filter the look of the light. It’s like a thing that allows light through but changes what can be seen. Underneath you might see some fish and even the shape of the land. If there’s a lot of other stuff like mud in the water, you’ll have a hard time seeing anything much if at all. Whatever’s happening on the surface though, is unseen completely. Iif you think about it, it’s almost like the thoughts and intents of the heart. Maybe if some of you just turned on the right sort of light, it would help filter these things so much clearer. Then again, no matter the sort of the light, it won’t help clean up a dirty room. Think of it. A dirty heart is much like the water, right. The light will show the condition of the water, but the darkness won’t do a thing to help it at all. Well, there you have it. That’s life in the deep.
