Phillip
The day following Jesus would go forth into Galilee, and findeth Philip, and saith unto him, Follow me.
44 Now Philip was of Bethsaida, the city of Andrew and Peter.
John 1:43-44
Now let's see whatever would be the matter. There's Jesus in Galilee, which wasn't where he was staying apparently but he just happened to come by this house by the sea. While he was there, which isn't where he intended to go, and he found Philip even though he wasn't searching for him. Notice though the nature of the find indicates that someone was lost. Philip was just out wandering about enjoying this day in the house by the sea and apparently really hadn't anywhere better to be. Jesus called him out and says come, "follow me." Philip is no doubt thinking why not. Now where do we know that dwells by the sea?
It's not Naphtali with its' cup, could it be? Look though at where he is from since that we are told. He was of Bethsaida, the city of Andrew and Peter. This could be the hometown of Andrew and Peter or where they were staying or lodging or working there at the time. Philip's location though, makes him part of another house, one that has a way with words as we will see in a minute. Therefore, it's possible to be from one place yet found in another. This means that Philip for instance, will show signs of them both as his natural and spiritual state become known.
