Origin Stories

Each culture and each civilization all have an origin story. These can collectively by referred to as myth since nothing has ever been proven by any historical references to exist. However, there is one in Scripture whose claims and assertions are supported by much of history. In fact, you don't have to look very far at all to find them. See, all creation stories start out the same basic way with man and woman inside a beautiful place. It would be a real shame if something happened to mess it up. In fact, that's how most all of history started out, with legends and stories carefully passed down and tended through the years.

The issues with that are plain and simple. First, there is poor memory at fault. Then too there is issue of how things are changed and grew with each telling. I don't know if you've ever tried to play a game of telephone or not. Basically, it starts out with two friends. One tries to tell something to the other which must be related to someone else who isn't there. Then once the other person is located it sets off a whole chain. When everybody's done, the story given at the beginning is then compared with the end result. Usually, it's not anywhere close to being the same. This is why accuracy and the careful keeping of stories in an oral society is so important.
