Troubled waters tread lightly

Can anyone tell me what this is? No, I don't mean which language or even what the words say. I just need to know the basic parts of speech and how to put what where. After I get all that, I know I'd be good to go. To start off with, most sentences are made up of something known as a noun and a verb. Nouns are things like:

book

box

chair

table

lampstand

bed

They are main words that tell something about what is going on. You cannot have a sentence made up of just nouns. Well, you can. The results would look something like this:

Cat hat bat.
