Johnus Romanus

Once from God there came a man so self spoken with regret his constant companion. He'd been given a mission well and truly along with some giftings, talents, and natural passions to match from which almost anything seemed just to happen. He hadn't any dreams or aspirations or political matchings to speak of though quite a crowd came for a few different reasons. John, it seemed, obtained a bit of a religious streak from the first that ran through his veins as one to which it were given visions and prophecies straight down from Heaven. From the tumultuous roar of the crowds and the locusts which followed much as they would his Egyptian plague rivals, I'm sure at times it was hard to be heard much less still to have listened. Strange thing though really that Herod would've hardly spared him a poisoner's cure much less the executioner's sword. For his mixing in of false pieties and a sort of any other pretense so as with the wide river Jordan, it would've drawn Herodian ire most certainly. Though what John had to do with lawless politics or godless religion is anyone's guess from there. Then again just what would've been done with the monitor and large water creatures conjured up from the cold which likely proved fatal so I'm told. All the treasures wrought of this time couldn't exempt him from the locusts and honey which followed so closely as well as a taking after the Lord.
