John
There was a man sent from God, whose name was John.
7 The same came for a witness, to bear witness of the Light, that all men through him might believe.
8 He was not that Light, but was sent to bear witness of that Light.
John 1:6-8
Then there's the matter of John. Which house does he belong to, do you know? There's not really anything known about him save for his being sent from God. Now this can indicate one of two things. Either he was sent out in favor or he was sent out in disgrace. Regardless, though this witness to God's light and presence has been sent out of his presence to point the world back to his Son. Notice that while John has seen the light, he isn't that light himself but a witness to it. Large crowds of people came to be baptized by John. They even sent the Pharisees or the religious rulers down to cross-examine him and see what this disorder meant.
These things were done in Bethabara beyond Jordan, where John was baptizing.
29 The next day John seeth Jesus coming unto him, and saith, Behold the Lamb of God, which taketh away the sin of the world.
30 This is he of whom I said, After me cometh a man which is preferred before me: for he was before me.
31 And I knew him not: but that he should be made manifest to Israel, therefore am I come baptizing with water. 32 And John bare record, saying, I saw the Spirit descending from heaven like a dove, and it abode upon him.
33 And I knew him not: but he that sent me to baptize with water, the same said unto me, Upon whom thou shalt see the Spirit descending, and remaining on him, the same is he which baptizeth with the Holy Ghost.
34 And I saw, and bare record that this is the Son of God.
John 1:28-34
Notice John's disorder himself of being unable to keep silent before the presence of the One that was greater. He's almost like a train conductor or an announcer if you will. He sits there and sees and observes things around him like light or people or men or even the river. Notice how John comes from beyond the river Jordan to bear witness and testify well. He is from beyond the river though he is not say the beyond itself. He bears witness to the light though he is not saying he's the light itself. He bears a Word though he is not saying he's the Word itself. He is in the river though he is not saying he's the river itself. It is through this river then that John has baptized even after the physical world. It was a call of men to wake up and see their truest potential, a call to return to the Father, and a call to see as they truly are. Only God though came to move men beyond all that then even back to himself. John was what you might call a Zebulon, or one of that tribe. These stand in the doorway between the two worlds though they are neither the world itself nor that door.
By their proximity to it though, some have had them confused. Thus, like the streams in a river, the Zebulon can stand therein but not be taken away. They can experience all other of the powers flowing through them like the passage of time. Yet these are not say the owners of the powers themselves. Rather, these serve as a conduit to help the others awaken, become aware of, and experience theirs. These are also closest to the stream of time itself, though they are not saying it of themselves. Perhaps you don't yet know what I mean and that is okay. It's hard for some to stand in between two worlds and not try to possess it themselves. Should you try, the rest will also fall into darkness or worse. It's a picture of the ruler Zedekiah whom Babylon had appointed to reign in the interim at the very beginning of Judah's captivity. When he began to do bad all by himself, the rest from the Levites on down soon did worse.
