Going To Justice

It hath been said, Whosoever shall put away his wife, let him give her a writing of divorcement:

32 But I say unto you, That whosoever shall put away his wife, saving for the cause of fornication, causeth her to commit adultery: and whosoever shall marry her that is divorced committeth adultery.

Matthew 5:31-32

Now let's say we have made it to whichever governing body we were going as at first. The charges are as follows of those adultery. Notice the language given here. There appears to be a distinct difference between fornication, adultery, divorce, and remarriage. Let's figure out what that is first before we see what the verdict will be. There's the case given then that fornication is very different from that of adultery. Perhaps it sounds like the same thing to me but maybe it doesn't to you. What about the difference in the eyes of the governing body and the Lord? Do you know what makes it then? Remember the statutes and precepts given which together make up the sum of the governing body. The precedent given according to the precepts or the traditions of the elders has always been the following passed down through the generations.

Whosoever shall put away his wife, let him give her a writing of divorcement:

Now, let's see the statutes applied to the very simple matter of the precepts. Fornication it seems is what was referred to at first of the matter of the man and the woman. It implies both premeditation and purpose, rather than just a happy little accident like adultery is. There is a cause then in this case by which the man has made the woman to sin whether unknowingly or on purpose. Perhaps it could work the other way around too could it not, but it rarely does because of the matter of two in agreement of marriage. Perhaps the fornication is on purpose or by accident, who knows. Regardless, if it has occurred, it is possible to put the other spouse away. Putting away then under the proper grounds of precept properly applied to the statute means that there is neither divorce nor adultery. If there is no fornication, then there is adultery. In this case, the cause of the severance would be divorce which begets more adultery.
