God of my Fathers

Exodus 3:13-14

Moses said to God, "Suppose I go to the Israelites and say to them, 'The God of your fathers has sent me to you,' and they ask me, 'What is his name?' Then what shall I tell them?" God said to Moses, "I am who I am. This is what you are to say to the Israelites: 'I am has sent me to you.'"

I had a dream in which I was speaking to a large audience some words I received from the Lord. He had the following message to share with the people: 'I was, I am that I am, and I will be.' Follow what he says with me for a minute if you will. He says I am. I am is someone who continues through the ages unchanged according to Malachi 3:6. Hebrews 13:8 says that he is the same no matter whether it is yesterday, today, or tomorrow. Technically, my dream is not completely UnScriptural yet. The test of any dream or revelation is the Word of God. This is why 1 John 4:1-5 encourages us to test the spirits to see which is speaking. Let us dig deeper. John 8:58 points out that "before Abraham was, I AM." Jesus did not say I was. He is not the God of yesterday. Although, he does have a hand in creating it. He is not the God of tomorrow. He is called the God of today. He says in Psalm 95:7-11 that today you will "hear his voice" if you "do not harden your hearts." Again, 2 Corinthians 6:2 says "now is the accepted time" of salvation. You do not know what may happen tomorrow. It might be too late. The master could return at any time, who has entrusted you with his talents, as in Matthew 25:14-30. This is what drives me to do kingdom business today and not tomorrow. While I am writing this book I am caring for others. After this book is done, I have still other areas of kingdom service planned. I want to hear my Master say, "well done."

There is a divine connection between the resurrection and divinity. Maybe what has been bothering you is not yesterday. Mary and Martha found the fact troubling that had Jesus been there their brother would not have died in John 11:21. Notice that John 11:25 says, "I am the resurrection and the life." It does not say I was nor even that I will be. This is not a promise of someday but of now. I believe the dead can better be found among the living than in the grave. Some of you need to stop binding the strong men and letting them hide among the tombs just because it worked so well to your advantage. Maybe God has come to this region and to this house to liberate them from your chains of perception so they may walk in his liberty. If he is the resurrection and the life, how then can we deny that his words are Spirit, and they are life. See, he is not the God of all sometimes. He is God always, all by himself. I will continue to preach the raising of the dead and the laying on of hands as God so permits in Hebrews 6:1.
