Forgotten Things
Oh, I know what we forgot. We left our poor little cat, hat, and bat behind all because the girl next door smiled. I don't know about you, but maybe that's what makes the world go round. You may have noticed how easy that is. It seems almost a bit too easy. That is because almost every language in the world contains these basic parts. I figured, why not put the parts all together and see what I could come up with. Sure, English has a few more parts, being a confusing one, and perhaps yours does too. Then again it just might make yours unique. History tells of a time nearly just like that. There once was a tower built up to reach the stars. Well, not them exactly, but the people of the world gathered round to try to build it up. 'Soon we'll be just like God' was all they said. Perhaps they really should have been content to live in peace and harmony. Then too the more influential of the few would have done well to work to better themself. Not that God has anything against building towers. That alone would have put off several skyscrapers and started half a dozen regional dialects. Here we see the matter is that all the workers, like so many words, can all come to work together. They can either come to do some good or they can tear each other down. Before we go on learning, let's try to make our speech have the opposite effect.
