Book of Samuel

Eternal Wise of old, God had triumphed days of old.

2 Over all its said and the Book so with it read.

3 Till all was read and put to bed and the prophesies were said.

4 God our leader there our fearsome ruler where.

5 Safe from sin besides and from the roaring there likewise.

6 By the which the devil stalked the fold, seeked Gods children there untold.

7 Merciful without the fold, God himself of very old.

8 Like a roaring lion there besides seeking whom he may devour likewise.

9 Gods ways are higher still, much as Heavens were above the earth so very till.

10 Be it all the will, that God had used there still.

11 Higher still among them all, in reverance fall down before them all.

12 How could it have been then that each thing had turned for good in his hands.
