Balancing Acts
Ye shall have just balances, and a just ephah, and a just bath.
11 The ephah and the bath shall be of one measure, that the bath may contain the tenth part of an homer, and the ephah the tenth part of an homer: the measure thereof shall be after the homer.
12 And the shekel shall be twenty gerahs: twenty shekels, five and twenty shekels, fifteen shekels, shall be your maneh.
Ezekiel 45:10-12
It seems by Ezekiel, there's been distributive justice brought back to the land. Let's say the shekel ought to be fixed firmly at twenty gerahs as a small form of the change. Probably smaller, say, than the penny that'll come after. Then again, all the weights should be firmly fixed in place and not visible to perhaps the slow, inevitable creep with the times. That's because there's those who wish to make profit off these, that of the ever-present human condition. Seems there's not much to do for the issue besides letting the Lord take the lead on it, really. Before we go, here's a figure of all things considered. Regardless, knowing and fixing the points of what it's worth is key to keeping the markets all sort of balanced. That's also how you can fix point the market and so correct it by righting the exchange. From there the price of the goods and distribution around in the people also will follow.
